“We’re delighted to welcome Elizabeth to VPT. Bringing her on board underscores our emphasis on keeping the public at the heart of Vermont Public Television,” noted John King, president and CEO of VPT. “With nearly five decades in service to the community, we’re excited to reach new audiences with the kind of stimulating, imaginative services that distinguish VPT.”
Metraux added, “As a mom, I see the impact of commercial-free, educational programs every day. And as a PR professional, I’ve seen the impact of open, unbiased public media worldwide. I can’t wait to join VPT to build upon their successes and engage the public in the important work of a great organization.”
Metraux lives in Hardwick with her 5-year-old daughter. She has served on the boards and volunteered for numerous Vermont organizations. She is also a member of the Burlington Rotary Club.
